Rick Stansbury dismissed D.J. Gardner from the Mississippi State basketball team on Friday. The development came a day after Stansbury announced the heralded freshman would redshirt, and less than 15 hours after Gardner publicly expressed his displeasure with the coaching staff via Twitter.

"These b***es tried to f**k me over," Gardner Tweeted late Thursday, according to a screen shot grabbed by the Clarion-Ledger's Brandon Marcello. "That’s y I red shirted .. But I wish my homies a great as* season.. I don’t even know y I’m still here"

Gardner is an in-state product who averaged 32 points and 10 rebounds as a high school senior.

He chose Mississippi State over Memphis.

You're a donkey, and obviously a bear fan. Why don't you check the west results from the last several years...State is the only team that's been consistently relevant from the W in a long time. Donkey.

Just a note as a HR professional, your business can fire you for posting negative and defaming comments about your employer that you post on social networking sites.  Same goes for a school.  Although we have free speech, you are still accountable for your words.

DJ Gardner is clearly an intelligent and classy young man, as evidenced by this well thought out and articulated tweet
I smell racism and believe Jesse Jackson should get involved and help this poor kid get the education he deserves.

It seems like, after the past couple years, Stansbury needs to not worry so much about social media, and more about the class of recruits he is going after.

Just another high school "star" who thinks the world revolves around him.  I'd love to see his grade point average. :-)
LOL take his points per game and devide by 3.!!! thats either his gpa or his iq. Crazy seeing primadonas before they are pro or even played a college game.

The kid ASKED to be redshirted.  He found out he was not ready and was going to be in a 3 man rotation.  That's why the RS decision was made.  Unfortunately, he's just another Prima Donna D***head who thought he was running the show and didn't like it when he didn't get his way.  And if any DA kid from a podunk school like he's from thinks he can automatically start in the SEC, then he's hearing things.  Good bye loser.  You'll be seen drinkin' a 40 and riding in the right seat of a log truck before it's over.
