USC @ Notre Dame
Unlike in past matchups, the Irish may have the advantage on offense here with Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate.  But USC's front 4 has been tenacious so far and will likely make it a rough day at the office for Clausen.  Don't bet against Pete Carroll with extra time to prepare.

USC, 27-14.

California @ UCLA
This is a bit of a test for both teams; for Cal, to show they can bounce back after getting crushed in their first 2 conference games (albeit against the Pac's 2 best teams right now) and for UCLA, to show that they can score.  This will come down to whether Jahvid Best can bounce back against UCLA's solid run defense.  They'll slow him down, but not enough to win.

CAL, 17-13.

Stanford @ Arizona
The question here is whether the Wildcats' Nic Grigsby is healthy after being slowed by a shoulder injury the last few weeks.  It's tempting to pick Arizona at home anyway, but you have to wonder if their confidence is shaken after the heart-wrenching loss in Seattle.

STANFORD, 28-24.

Washington @ Arizona State
After the Immaculate Interception propelled them to a 3-3 record, a bowl is now a realistic possibility for the dawgs.  The Sun Devils may even have a quarterback controversy on their hands after Danny Sullivan's spotty play.  But their defense will test Jake Locker, and Sarkisian hasn't quite gotten his team to play consistently well week to week.

ASU, 23-21.

Pac 10 Predictions, Week7

USC @ Notre Dame
-Notre Dame has come out on fire offensively in recent weeks, but I just don't see them having enough firepower to overcome the Trojans stout defense.
USC 31 Notre Dame 24

Cal @ UCLA
-UCLA looks horrible; Cal has been bad the last two weeks, but they can't be that bad can they? Cal wins a close, but ugly game.
Cal 17 UCLA 13

Stanford @ Arizona
-Stanford seems to have turned from contender to pretender in the span of one week. Arizona let one slip away up at UW, and will come out angry. If they can channel that frustration they will win this game.
Arizona 30 Stanford 24

UW @ Arizona State
-UW had their share of luck last week, I don't think they get the breaks this week on the road. Arizona State hasn't been that impressive but I think they can pull this one out at home.
ASU 27 UW 24

Pac 10 Predictions, Week7

USC-41 ND-24
ND seems to have some offensive fireworks going, but if the Irish are fireworks, USC is the fire department.  Even in USC's loss, Wash did not get 500 yards passing or rush for 300 yards, they won by catching breaks here and there with timely turnovers and penalties.  The Irish run out of luck here, Trojans will be ready to play for the Irish.

UCLA-20 Cal-13
When Cal starts losing, they go downhill fast.  Some may say they are at the bottom of that hill.  I think not.  Bruins should be able to play enough for what people will call and 'upset'.

Stanford-38 Zona-17
Zona is just not a good team,  Subpar defense, not really a good offense, barely average in everything.  Gerhart for Stanford has taken Jahvid Best's Heisman Trophy consideration spot, at least on the West Coast.  Cardinal keep rolling.

Washington-16 AZ State-13
I can't believe I am saying this, but Washington is not half bad.  They are certainly better than the Sun Devils, who are just underachievers in all aspects.

Pac 10 Predictions, Week7

USC @ Notre Dame
This is not a great USC team, uneven offensively, and their are 5 stars running around all over on defense, but they have not melded into the unstoppabe Trojans D's of recent years. But, the Trojans will have no problem getting up for the game against ND, and I think they will wear them down. Trojans 31 Fighting Irish 20

California @ UCLA
The Bears are still trying to find their footing after being knocked around by the Ducks and the Trojans. I believe they have more talent than UCLA, especially on offense, and that will be enough for them to get this one. Bears 24 Bruins 16

Stanford @ Arizona
Stanford was clobbered convincingly by Oregon State last week, Arizona lost a heartbreaker, which team bounces back better? I go with the Cardinal and the consistency of Gerhart getting it done on the road.  Cardinal 31 Wildcats 24

Washington @ Arizona State
The Huskies beat USC and then went on the road and got stomped by Stanford. This time they are coming off a miraculous win that singlehandedly changed their prospects for a bowl game. The defense still is not on the level of the offense for the Dawgs and I think that will be the stumbling block here.   Sun Devils 27 Huskies 20

Pac 10 Predictions, Week7

USC @ Notre Dame
I'm tempted to go out on a limb, but history and talent are on the side of USC.

California @ UCLA
Cal has always had trouble on the road, but UCLA just isn't at the level they need to be to compete for the top spot in the conference.

Stanford @ Arizona
While husky might think their confidence will be shattered, I think they'll come out pissed they didn't get a win.

@ Arizona State
I still think that a lot of things have been going their way this season, and they have a legitimate chance to win half of their remaining games (win here, @UCLA, and almost definitely will beat the Cougs). This could be a make-or-break game in terms of making a bowl, since the only other team they have a chance of beating besides those three I mentioned is Oregon State, and I have a lot of doubt that will happen.
