What a weekend, a full slate of action. NFL opening Sunday, Baseball, College Football and some good racing at Richmond.
Not even sure where to start off. I was great to see that the NASCAR gods got it right and made the cars look like they kinda do in the show room. The Nationwide Series have a new type of car similar to the Cup guys and I dig it. The Cup race Saturday night was good but was over shadowed due to the a** whooping that UT got put on them but a Flock of Ducks !!!! My neighbors almost started a small riot out in the sticks. Love The Quack Attack !!!!!!
Games that shocked me, there were just a few from Saturday, James Madison, not to be confused by Dolly Madison. I am thinking that Va. Tech thought that they were playing them. Sorry Boise, I like you, but this kinda does not help your case into the BCS Championship if the experts are correct and tOSU and Bama go undefeated.
I would have to say that Kansas beating Georgia Tech kinda shocked me. Didn't see that one coming. I heard so many great things about UCLA this year and looked forward to a great game but when they got shutout by the Stanford Woods, then I just had to shake my head.
The Yankees are killing me. They have lost 3 in a row and the last 6 of 10. I do hope that they know that they are now just leading the Rays by 1/2 game. Still love my Yankees.
Maybe they are just cooling their jets like The Colts did last year. Ugh, oh wait, how did that work out for them? Now you know I could not go without messing w/ UT fans and Colts fans. They are basically the same. I did not get to see the game, but how is he the top scorer on every Fantasy League yet his team loses? Schwab had a weak game for the Texans? By the way, Quack Quack.
Last Call at the Bar, so here goes;
OK over FSU. I loved it. made my day to see them get crushed by anyone.
South Carolina over UGA, that made my day. The Ole Ball Coach takes down Georgia again.
Lucky that I got Chris Johnson on an automated draft fantasy league.
Bama and tOSU in the National Championship game. Not really going out on a limb, just saying.
Is the wire to the Offensive Coordinator disconnected. Seems as if not too much is getting through.
That is it from here, have to serve a few locals a Bar Mat Special. Cheers!!!

What a night, NASCAR in the new style cars and an overtime game.
I was happy to see Kevin win at Richmond this evening. It was a good race and I love seeing the new style cars. They actually look like what they do in the show rooms. Any time we get to see Delana is a good evening.
Kyle Busch in the pink car w/ kittens, a unicorn, baby seal and an ice cream cone is a good thing. That was awesome. To the girl that designed may she get a huge prize.
What about Marshall and West Virginia going into overtime? It seemed as if Marshall had the upset in its back pocket. Gotta love overtime. I am still trying to figure out how dude missed it wide right. It looked good to me. Must have been the angle. It was worse then The 'Noles' kickers.
I will be damned if the Yankees did not lose another one. This is getting too close for comfort for me. I know that it was the Rangers, but come on. Never should have lost 2 out of 3 to the O's.
I am leading in my fantasy league at the moment but I am nervous. A lot of games yet to get played.
The U vs. The O, kinda looking forward to that. I am sure that OSU will take care of business. Bama vs. Penn State, guess Bama will win that one. I am guessing a Bama/tOSU National Title game. I know, not really going on a limb, but just saying. More than likely my Gators will get beat by Bama twice this year.
Going to have a race in Richmond for the Cup guys tomorrow which will be the final race before The Chase. Not sure what is funnier The Chase or actually thinking that anyone gives a damn. I love NASCAR but it just seems that more "fans" just keep ignoring the sport.
Not sure how to fix it, but if NFL goes on strike next year, who knows the stands might get filled up again at the race tracks.
By the way, I am raising my middle finger to the players that think that unemployed and pay check to pay check fans care that you are getting screwed by the owners. You knew what you were getting into. Yeah, wish that I could be out of work for a few months and lose $250K but knew that I would get the rest of my $36 Million contract when it was done. There is a reason why they are called "owners".
When was the last time that WWE "wrestlers" went on strike? And to try and compare yourselves as regular workers is an Eff'n joke.
On a happy note, my grilled chicken and drinks were awesome this evening.
That is all for now, I have got to wake up early so I can watch a lot of pre game shows and get ready for a great day of College Football !!!

It has been a long day at the Bar & Grill but I have to say that it has been fun.
I was able to see the Yankees finally beat the pesky O's. I was getting kinda nervous. Got to love to see a Walk Off Homer.
I saw where Ingram is running but not likely to play against Penn State. I have said all off season that Bama is the team to beat. They should be able to beat Penn State w/out him but it will be fun to see.
Ohio State fans, my Brother and Father included, saying that The Ohio State is the team to beat. I guess we will see if they can sweep the Big 11.
Did I hear news about a former Gator beating out some QB from Notre Dame? Who knew, haters insert foot now.
I set my final rosters for my fantasy football teams earlier and I have to say that it is a lot easier when no money is involved. How did I ever manage to stay married and and keep my kids when real money was involved. Worse thing about playing fantasy sports is that you have to root for a team and then also pull against the same team.
Had a cold beer earlier to calm my nerves and I have to say that the 3rd one worked. Do they make those goofy hats that hold 3 of them. That would make it a lot easier.
Am I the only one that have kinda put NASCAR to the side for this weekend just because of all of the football going on? I heard where Kyle Busch said that the most boring race is at Pocono. Maybe NASCAR needs to schedule a race there this weekend. Richmond is a great track to race at but just might lose a lot of viewers because of the weekend.
In closing I must say that it has been a fun lazy day sportswise. I dread the next one that I get.
Be well and Cheers!!!!

Well, I have was laid off a week ago and all is as cool as it can be. I have been contacted by several other firms that I can get a gig if I want one. I just have to find a way to get there since I can not drive.
No worries though. I have been through worse.
My kids have no clue due to them knowing that I am sick. So we just played the "sick card" to them. They like having me living back at home. I am able to clean and keep the house up so that makes my lovely wife happy. I can cook reallly good, so no one is sad about that. LOL
It is funny. I feel as if I just came back from a long deployment, and trying to settle back in to their routine. I guess living an hour away is the samething as being 13 hours away. I am lucky to have such a great supporting cast.
I am not the "Drill Sgt." so that is a good thing. They just know that I will tolerate less than their lovely Mother.
I just blogged to let the masses know that I am good and no one is going crazy, yet. I am just glad that I like to stay busy from 6 - 3 because there is nothing good on TV. I love the "Judge" shows, but there are way too many.
Have a great Friday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody, I got laid off yesterday and I am just letting the ones that read this know. Many of you are from the Racing Boards so you know about the cut backs that NASCAR has felt. Well when you work for a private firm that depends on money from the goverment, then it is not too good.
I have been designing roads for the past 8 years and it was great working w/ all of the suits. I have worn Hawaiian Shirts and sandals the majority of the time that I have been there so I have been lucky. Not too many places would the corporate office let a dude like me roll in everyday w/ 6 ear-rings and a tropic kinda look.
How does this affect me on the boards? Not sure yet, I got 3 weeks pay so I am good for awhile, but I shall be reading more and possibly commenting more.
Because of medical issues I have been living w/ a close friend and his wife since Spetember. Just to keep my job. I live over an hour away from the office and he was gratious enough to let me stay w/ them and drop me off and pick me up at verious bus stops.
Our marriage is not an issue, yet, She is picking me up this evening for my regualr weekend visit w/ her and our 2 great kids. I am looking forward to it but also kinda dreading it.
It is a great big weight off of my shoulders knowing that I got laid off, (how weird is that) but that brings on a lot of new challanges. It is all good though, I have dealt w/ worse scenarios in my 36 years of existance.
Just wanted to let my fellow Sportsline commenters know in advance in the crazy instance that I start going off like ChiDoug. LOL
Have a great day and remember, a warm beer is better than no beer.
