Hey, Johnny it's nice to meet you.  Sounds like you're going through some rough times and I'm sorry to hear that.  I agree with you 100% about the importance of family.  If you're lucky, you can even have a few good friends to talk or hang out with.  Peace.

Hey, Johnny it's nice to meet you.
Likewise Sy and thanks for the kind words.

Right now I'm watching "Hail, Hail, Rock and Roll,"  the Chuck Berry documentary.  I saw it when it was first released back in the mid-80s.  It's been playing on one of the movie channels this month.  I DVRed it and I'm watching it now.  I was also lucky enough to have seen Chuck live around the same time in a small gym on The University of Buffalo's campus.  What a showman and musician.

Rock, does that mean you know "Why She's So Thirsty Today"?  Have you looked at the titles to all of their CD"s?  Hilarious.  I saw them in KC and those 2 girls put down more beer than I could believe!  At the end of their set, she (lead singer) was wobbling and dancing on the bar tables and kept right on singing.  They played a good 2 hours and I was exhausted.  Ah, the good old days.

SY, my favorite Meat Purveyors songs are "Circus Clown" and their cover of Elvis' "Burning Love."

But, seriously, isn't that the worst band name in history?

Rock, who is that in avi? He scares the bejeezus out of me.

No disrespect to Elvis or his fans, but Chuck Berry is the TRUE king of rock n' roll. As you said jonny, and amazing musician and showman-a true innovator of lead guitar, Without Chuck, alot of players I admire would have been dramatically different. My favorite scene in that movie jonny is when Keith is explaining that chuck wanted to just change the key midway throught the first song, and Keith just shakes his head no. Classic!

"Long Haul" - Martin Sexton

"We Love You" - Rolling Stones

"So You're Leaving" -
Al Green

"Battery" - Metallica

"Live Here With You" - Dusty Springfield
Dusty could sing pages in the phone book and make it sound beautiful-what a voice!!

How about that for three in a row-Al Green, followed by Metallica, followed by Dusty Springfield. My radio station rules!!!!
