I don't Ted Leonsis is like that..sure he likes to make money and keep his money like all rich people do...But even in the NHL he built the Capitals slowly and through the draft..Maybe he's tanking it to get another top 5 pick...

Uh, I see NHL highlights all the godamned time on Sportscenter.  Too much to be frank.  And that Barry Melrose guy is such a douche.

I KNOW!!!  Every once in a while there will be something cool like a puck bouncing off someone's nose and going into the goal.  but that i maybe 2 or 3 times a season.

It keeps them from going into the stands and attacking the customers.  Professional kind of insuates some form of professionalism.

A bit exaggerated but after the NBA had a ref admitting to fixing things in the playoffs I'm not so sure this is the best area to debate for you.  Larry Johnson is only 1 of many examples of players that entered the league with a more than suspect history of points shaving.

Not trying to stir things too much.  You asked for a rebuttal so I posted one.  Personally I used to love the NBA but I think the basic skills have eroded to the point that it's become harder and harder to watch.  I love college hoops though.

Turn down the volume, or at least try to block out the announcers, and what do you hear?

Squeak, squeak, squeak, ad nauseum.

Basically, it is like someone scratching their nails on a blackboard, with the sound of the sneakers squeaking on the hardwood floors.  Once you tune into that sound, it is hard to watch a game because it can make you crazy.
