Atlanta Hawks Venting Room!

What's up everybody, and welcome to the Hawks venting room. I figure we need to spice up the hawks talk. I know that it seems like its not many of us on this site compared to some of the other teams, but hey for the ones of us supporting our team, speak and be heard. The floor is yours.

I will try and get things rolling. Word on the street is that Marvin Williams wants out of Atlanta. I say if he wants out let him go, as a matter of fact, lets see what we can get in return for marvin and joe (contract) johnson. Also someone please tell me how in the word did joe make the allstar team over J-smooth!

Josh Smith gets screwed again, i here rondo will take over for Joe Johnson.  And now Hawks fan we get to experience linsanity tonight.
Lets see what happens.

So Marvin wants to leave? haha/ Geez, hs is such a wonderful player.

Sometimes you have to get rid of average if you want to find good. Marvin is content being average and other than hitting some jumpers he isn't particularily good.

Amen to that Atl hope, I know we talked about blowing the team up already, but the more of this team i watch, i realize we need to do this soon as possible. At one point this season we were in the 3 spot, now the Hawks have fallen to the six spot with NY and boston breathing down their necks. I know we don't have horford, but even if he was playing, i don't think we would have made it out of the first round.

I have said all along partner up and get with Minnesota or Utah both teams have good big men where there is a log jam in front of them and decent G to trade, the question is will ATL make a trade. Look at our signings for a C..those a band aids at best not even a band aid more like a bee sting. If you are a top 4-5 seed in East and your best big man goes down for the year, you got to do something!!! Here is a list of names of big men that could be had Derrick Favors, Anthony Randolph, Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby, Anderson Varejo...come on front office make a move.

I feel your pain, I don't know what in the hell management is doing, as a matter of fact, who is the Ceo of the Hawks? Does the new management team really want to win, or are they just putting on a horse and pony show!
Anyway I like the list of free agents you listed, especially Kaman. I really wish we would trade joe for a big man and get that killer contract of our hands, I think someone would bite.  Someone took Gilbert and Rashard Lewis after they received their ludacris contracts. I believe this year alone, rashard lewis is making the second most money this season.

I just read an article by matt moore, in which he named some players most likely to be traded and Josh Smith was one of them. Interesting, I wonder if he knows something we don't. Anyway if the Hawks are shopping josh, then what are they hopping for in return. It better be someone like Deron Williams, only time will tell.

The more i think about it, the more i would like to see Anthony Randolph in a Hawks uniform. If given starters minutes, i think he can average 20 and 10. He puts up beast  numbers when he gets a chance to start filling in for injuries. He would help us greatly.

I hope that article you read is wrong because like you said we need help down low. Right now i have no faith in new management either. I think they will stand pat.

Got another article this weeek & it made the hair stand up on my arms....Hawks are offering JJ & Horford for D Howard & Turk??? I would do this trade so fast it would make your head spin. Superman & J-Smoove, marvin, Turk, & Teague...can TMac get some more playing time?

I do like the sound of that! hopefully it goes down that way. But I heard today on 680 the fan, that now the Hawks will trade j-smooth for sure. I don't get it, you keep johnson on the down side of his career, and you resign marvin, who underarchieves, but now you want to get rid of our best player, go figure.

I see why there are so few hawks fans posting on this site. It's kinda hard to get behind the team, when it seems that management isn't really trying to put a winning product on the floor.

What is up with Marvin Williams, a few weeks ago he was crying like a baby...boohoo I want more playing time...boohoo i want more plays called for me. Hey Buddy..no Holford no Joe Johnson and on the big stage last night when its your chance to shine, crickets. Wow only 7 pts and 3 rebounds, way to step up.  Stop crying and take control, become a beast.

Anyway Josh Smith is doing a good job trying to hold the team down, untill all hands are on deck.

Well..Josh smith is asking for a trade, it was reported earlier today. Can't say that i blame him since management has been shopping him around this year anyway, and if they do trade him, i'am pretty sure they won't get fair value in return.  We have to have some of the worst management in sports history.

One trade mentioned was intersting j-smooth for jamison and tristin thompson and maybe a 2rd pick from the cavs.  Tristin will be a beast in a couple of years.

We still need a legitimate  staring center......any ideas ?

I've said this for a while now, we need 2 get kaman, he is a legit 18 and ten guy along with 2 blocks a game. Management here has been trying 2 trade josh most of the season, its the same situation in new olearns, they have been shopping Kaman this season.  Well..lets shop together. They get josh, hate to see him go but in return we get Kaman and Trevor Ariza, contracts almost match.

Now we have a legit starting center and holford can really go beast mode playing his natural position and now we get trevor a versitile swingman, who can play the 2 or 3(better than marvin).  So we might lose our best player, but our team may actually become stornger.

I also forgot 2 mention earlier that the Hornets are also now shopping Emekar okafor but i like kaman better.
I also just read the the Bucks are now shopping andrew bogurt but he is always hurt and they also want their trade partner to accept Stephen Jackson in the deal, but he is a cancer 2 any team. 

Hawks will find a way this year. I don't know how we are gonna do it but I'm sticking with my prediction of Hawks to Eastern Conference Finals.

Have you heard any news on the Holford front? Thats the only way i see us going deep into the playoffs. I hear he might be back in time.

Hawks fans, where are you guys? Even the usual posters from last year are gone, but like i said before, i guess its hard to get behind your team when management does'nt seem to care......crickets
