With the love affair on these boards aside, I just want to say please nobody gaurentee a Bruins victory. It didn't work so well on Thursday against one of the worst teams in hockey.
I'll be working watching a little bit of the game today but we need a win. Not only for the standings, but for the moral of the fans and the players. Send out the checking line, get some big hits, fights, etc get the momentum going early and often. PLEASE!!!!!
The Bruins are slowly working their way out of the playoffs. The only professional team in New England not to make the playoffs? I don't think it will happen but at this rate... you never know.
Who else thinks Kessel is the most overrated player on the team? Prove me wrong today little guy.
BlackandGold, I couldn't agree more with you. Julien needs to send out the checking line early and often. This is a physical (and dirty) Philly team, and we need to take the play to them. Some big checks and maybe a fight early on would go a long way to getting the team and the home crowd into the game. This team needs to get emotional on the ice, play with some pride and toughness. Unfortunately, i did hear Chara is doubtful for today's game so that's a problem again.
I do agree with you that Phil Kessel is overrated. He loses the puck way too easily and plays absolutely no defense. His offense lately has been pitiful along with the rest of the team.
Another thing, I don't know what everyone's thoughts on Andrew Ference are, but I just can't stand him. He seems like a good guy, but he is just a horrendous defense. He's too small and in my opinion he has been one of our worst players recently. He's our third defenseman on the depth chart (behind Chara and Wideman), and he's absolutely terrible. He has ZERO goals this season and is a team worst -14 +/- (for comparison the next worst Bruins player +/- is Phil Kessel at -7). I just can't stand Ference. Give me your thoughts on him.

And I've been saying all along that Kessel sucks! I wanted them to trade him for Hossa at the deadline.

They are carrying the play but not really getting any scoring chances out of it.
