his salary is only $3 next year ted. the Bruins arent going to give him away and pay for it too. we'll see but i wouldnt think that a 3rd would get it done.

If you two jack-in-the-boxes knew anything about hockey and it's CBA, you would know that this ain't the MLB. You cannot trade someone and have the trading team take on a portion of the traded players salary. Dooshbuckets. Don't worry, he won't be playing for the Islanders regardless.

If the Islanders were to add another goalie and lock up even more money in that position, hopefully the franchise would be smart enough to have cut their losses with Ricky by then. I would highly doubt them going after a Tim Thomas or Roberto Luongo. I could see Luongo in Toronto and Thomas inTampa or with the Devils if Martin Brodeur decides to retire. the Devils would need a somewhat capable net minder then right?

The isles need some respectable dmen playing in front of any of these goalies suggested. The Isles and Tim Thomas simply does not make sense. A team acquiring Thomas should be a legitimate contender because of his age. Why acquire him when you are going to suck for another 5 years? The isles arent even a bubble playoff team.

i think CBJ will take Murray (unless EDM takes him #1) because CBJ has had some terrible luck with russians...

MTL will probably go best player available

NYI will take Dumba. So EDM can't trade down past 4 because both of their dmen would be gone.

EDM would be smart to dump that pick for a nice package of young guys or just taking Murray #1. Taking Yakopov would do nothing for them.

just a question .Can you name one defenseman you would trade Malkin for? I think Karlsson of Ottawa is the best Dman but I wouldn't  give up Malkin to get him.I agree Edmonton needs blueline help, so draft Yakopov and trade a Hall ,Eberle even RNH and you will have your stud D-man

I think you take the best available and then trade your surplus to fill voids. just sayin.

It's not a bad idea. Drafting Yakupov could actuay save the Oilers some money. Signing him to a Entry level 3 year deal and then trading one of their other blue chips for a top 4 type defenseman could be the way. 
Ryan Murray looks really good though. 
The CBJ could not possibly pass up Yakupov if he fell in their laps I think. Could they? I guess we will see how this all plays out. i would love to see the Isles get Yakupov or either Murray or Dumba..

Chara, Weber, & Pietrangelo to name some off the top of my head. Karlsson isn't at the same level as those guys regardless of how many points he had. Those 3 change the game in a way that Malkin and Karlsson cant.

As for the draft I think Edm drafts Yakupov and trade Hall, Eberle is too good of a player and RNH is better than Hall too, so if anyone gets moved it will be him.

As for the Isles getting Nail? Would be nice, but we need Dumba or Murray, unless they pull off a Miracle and sign Suter.......LOL! I know, it's Monday!

All depends on what it takes to move up, not sure it's worth the picks or prospects and god forbid the he doesn't workout for whatever reason, and the picks and guys given away become palyers or even worse Stars. Stand th ecourse and take Dumba!

i havent seen much of Dumba but he sounds like he is going to be a great player. 

gotta think that he falls to #4 easily. Murray, Yakupov, and one of the two russians will go in the top 3.
